Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has spoken about his players’ readiness ahead of their first Premier League game of the 2024/25 season away to Wolverhampton.
Arsenal are due to play on Saturday night and will be assessing the fitness of Jurrien Timber, Fabio Vieira and Takehiro Tomiyasu ahead of the game. As well as Kieran Tierney, who has been struggling with injuries since pre-season.

“Tomiyasu and Tierney are expected to be out for another two to three weeks. Tierney needs to focus on his recovery from his injury. It’s been a tough time for him with his latest injury. We’re doing our best to support him and make sure he’s fit.”
Arteta also spoke about a number of youngsters who have been involved in pre-season, including Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri and Eden Haven.
“Myles has had a lot of playing time, Ethan and Aiden have done well in pre-season, that’s given me an idea of what they are capable of and now they can be an option for us. Of course they will be in the first team and continue to train with us.”
