Lisandro Martinez has hit back at Paul Scholes on Instagram after the Manchester United legend criticised him.

Martinez, who joined Old Trafford from Ajax in a £55million deal in 2022. Will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in the 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace earlier this month.

Speaking on The Overlap Fan Debate, via Sky Bet, he said: “Even when he [Martínez] is fit. He’s not good enough to win the Premier League with.”

Martinez was clearly filed up by Scholes’ words as he fired back in a post on สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน, replying: “This jinx guy is really hurting….You put him in Argentina, and he wouldn’t survive.”

Scholes is never afraid to speak his mind about United players. And recently said he would include Martinez in eight players the club should sell. As well as Marcus Rashford, Matthijs de Ligt, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Casemiro, Antony and Joshua Zirkzee.

On the latest episode of The Overlap Fan Debate, the United legend was harshly critical of the Argentine, suggesting he is not good enough to win the league even if he is fit.

“He is fit, but he is not good enough to win the Premier League,” Scholes said on the show. Martinez, however, took to social media to hit back.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday evening, Martinez wrote: “This bloke is talking too much… Send him to Argentina. “He’s not going to make it,”

Scholes said last month, voicing doubts over Martinez’s ability, revealing he would be willing to sell the World Cup winner as part of a United rebuild.
