About Elsegra
Elsegra is an independent buying-guide site about backup cameras for cars, pickups, campers and trailers.
We write for drivers who want a clear view behind them without paying a dealer. Many of our readers own an older vehicle with no camera, or tow a trailer or camper that blocks the mirror.
What we cover
Our guides cover wired camera kits, wireless and Wi-Fi cameras, solar and magnetic cameras you can move, and multi-camera systems for RVs. Brands include AUTO-VOX, Haloview, LeeKooLuu, eRapta, Yakry, pemacom and others.
We sort them by what you drive, like an SUV, a pickup, a box truck, a motorhome or a fifth wheel. We also cover the work around a camera, such as mounting it, hooking it to the reverse lights and fixing a picture that goes blurry or drops out.
How we work
We read the specs, manuals and maker information for every camera we write about. We also look at what owners often report after months of daily use.
Then we turn that into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page explains each step.
What we are not
We don't make or sell backup cameras, and no brand pays us to rank its products. Elsegra isn't affiliated with AUTO-VOX, Haloview, Furrion, LeeKooLuu or any other maker.
We don't claim to have installed every camera we write about. When we pick something, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.
We don't replace the maker's manual. Follow the maker's wiring steps, and ask a shop for help if you're unsure about your vehicle's electrical system.
